This large bowl is part of our beautiful splash range which we discovered in a cermics company in Cordoba, Spain, home of some of the country´s finest potters.
This bowl is hand painted and is the perfect backdrop for salads and fruit.
It’s a distinctive and modern design, one that has now been copied by many of the large retailers.
Bringing this to the table, or having it as a table centre-piece, will bring a sense of well-being to everyone and grace all surroundings.
The bowl´s diameter is 28cm, tapering down to 10cm at the bottom, providing a lovely wide, accomodating space. It has heft, the solidity you find with most Spanish ceramics, giving it a definite and commanding prescence.
It is also very hardy and durable. Don’t be afraid it to use it as a an everday bowl, which keeps it looks for a long time and can be easily wiped clean, or given a whirl in the dishwasher.
What drew us to the bowl and the others in the range, is the vibrant pattern. We watched at the potters applied the paint to the bowl – each one had a unique appearance.
It was good to see a very traditonal ceramics firm, pushing out the boundaries of design, suiting the modern home.
